After earning her M.S. in food science from the University of California, Davis, Ali joined the New Belgium Brewing Company’s sensory program in 2012, and becoming the sensory manager in 2019. During this time, she has run panels and trainings for quality assurance as well as implemented descriptive analysis for product development. Most recently, she has been expanding a consumer studies program for both quality assurance and marketing. As a brewing sensory expert, she has spoken at multiple brewing industry conferences and continues to research new methods and best practices, keeping New Belgium Brewing Company on the forefront of sensory science.
