WBA Advanced Brewing Theory Program

The WBA Advanced Brewing Theory Program (ABT) gives students a complete understanding of the technical issues encountered in professional brewing, no matter the size or scale, craft or large production brewery. The program materials address critical topics in brewing technology, offering students the knowledge on how to improve their products and processes while enhancing brewery sustainability and maximizing profits.

WBA International Diploma in Brewing Technology Program

The WBA International Diploma in Brewing Technology program will prepare graduates to progress in their careers in brewing through advanced theory and practical application of the learned theory content. Conducted in English, this programs spring session will be offered completely in Munich in 2026. The fall session will return to the classic dual continent/dual campus version, split between Montreal, Canada, and Munich, Germany. The program provides a truly international experience in brewing science, technology and operations in just 3 months of full-time study.

WBA Master Brewer Program

Our flagship WBA Master Brewer program will prepare students in advancing their technical brewing knowledge and practical skills with a mixture of classroom theory and extensive hands-on brewing and lab sessions. With just 6 months of full-time study conducted in English, students receive what is truly an international educational brewing experience unlike any other brewing program in the world. ENROLLMENT IS NOW OPEN FOR OUR ONLY 2026 PROGRAM, WHICH WILL BE CONDUCTED ENTIRELY IN MUNICH, GERMANY!

WBA Raw Materials and Wort Production Module (Module 1)

The Raw Materials and Wort Production module provides training in the technology and science of wort creation, giving students a complete understanding of the effects of products and processes on this area of the brewing cycle.

WBA Beer Production and Quality Control Module (Module 2)

The WBA Beer Production and Quality Control module provides in-depth instruction in fermentation and maturation, quality control and quality assurance, together with an understanding of the science of fermentation and its role in defining many of the key attributes of finished beer.

WBA Packaging and Process Technology Module (Module 3)

With the WBA Packaging and Process Technology individual module you will obtain solid knowledge of the fundamentals involved in this complex area of brewing and beverage production.

WBA Business of Brewing and Technical Case Studies Module (Module 6)

Conducted at Doemens Academy in Munich, the English-language WBA Business of Brewing and Technical Case Studies module will expose students to the challenges of running breweries from a standpoint of sound business operations, allowing them to develop an understanding and develop possible solutions to real-life challenges breweries face today, globally.

WBA Applied Brewing Techniques Module (Module 4)

The English-language WBA Applied Brewing Techniques module gives students an unmatched practical experience of brewing techniques in the training facilities of Doemens Academy in Munich, Germany.

WBA European Brewing Study Tour Module (Module 5)

Build your brewing knowledge while participating in behind-the-scenes tours of breweries, suppliers and manufacturers in Europe with the WBA European Brewing Study Tour module.

WBA Advanced Applied Brewing Techniques Module (Module 7)

Get advanced-level practical skills in every key area of commercial brewing operations with the WBA Advanced Applied Brewing Techniques module. This English-language 8-week portion of the WBA Master Brewer program takes students through over 300 hours of advanced brewing theory and hands-on activities in the production and lab facilities of Doemens Academy in Munich.
