As the technology of brewing microbiological analysis has made tremendous strides in the last 20 years, many students are looking for instruction that addresses the emergence of new analytical techniques. At the same time, some students want training that educates in time-tested traditional lab analysis, providing the basis of an industry-standard QC/QA program. How do you address the needs of both types of students in one program?

The Siebel Institute TwinTrack Brewing Microbiology Program provides the answer.

Once again, the Siebel Institute of Technology has created a program like no other in international brewing education. Using our unique TwinTrack system, students can choose the direction of their course content depending on their individual needs. For those working in a laboratory using conventional plating and microscopy, the Essential Brewing Microbiology Track is the right choice, offering two weeks of instruction in the bedrock principles of brewing laboratory operations. If you already have a background in traditional laboratory practice, the Advanced Brewing Microbiology Track provides training in new & emerging laboratory analytical technologies.

Classroom presentations bring both the Essential and Advanced Program attendees into one learning environment during the morning lectures for instruction in areas common to both groups. The attendees then split into their respective groups in the afternoon for participation in practical labs, working with some of the industries’ most experienced professional brewing microbiology instructors.

The Siebel Institute of Technology TwinTrack Brewing Microbiology Program is conducted at our Siebel Institute Microbiological Services division in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Our Microbiological Services division is located at the National Research Council Biotechnology Research Institute, one of the world's leading yeast & genetic research facilities. Students will be surrounded by research professionals using state-of-the-art equipment, creating an environment that is unique to brewing education. When not on campus, students will be able to enjoy the beauty and history of Montreal, one of the world's most scenic and vibrant cities.

You can download the complete schedules for both tracks of the Siebel Institute TwinTrack Brewing Microbiology Program in Acrobat format on the Brewing Microbiology course page on our web site.

If you would like more information about choosing the educational track that is right for you, contact Lyn Kruger, President of Siebel Institute, at lkruger@siebelinstitute.com .
