To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Siebel Institute of Technology, we are inviting those who have participated in Siebel Institute and World Brewing Academy programs and courses to come to Chicago for 3 days of beer-related revelry, camaraderie and, of course, industry-leading education in conjunction with the Festival of Barrel-Aged Beer (FOBAB) in Chicago (https://www.fobab.com/). You will get to meet the staff of Siebel Institute (with some familiar faces) while sharing a beer or two with fellow brewers, former students and teachers, and brewing industry luminaries.

Have a look at the details below and use the links to register for the events. Please contact your former classmates and bring them together this November in Chicago! Light food will be served at this beautiful location on the river, a true must-see facility in Chicago and a showcase for Germanic beer styles. After this afternoon reception is concluded, participants will be free to head out and enjoy the city for the evening or to stay at Metro to enjoy the beer and the skyline view.

Expect Siebel giveaways and great beer in the Bier Stube. This will be followed by a short walk to Haymarket Brewpub at approx. 2:00 pm for an afternoon at this amazing brewpub. The Haymarket event will close at about 5:00 to allow for the 25-minute walk to Credit Union 1 Arena for the start of Friday’s FOBAB session. (a pay-as-you-go bar at Haymarket)

The Great Brewing District Pub Crawl - For those who aren't attending the Saturday FOBAB session, Saturday gives us all a chance to sleep in a little later and then gather for a little "hair of the dog" in Chicago's Brewing District (CBD).  There are a half-dozen breweries in the CBD including Goose Island’s Fulton St. Production Brewery (the starting point for the crawl at 1:00), and each location on the crawl has its own great vibe and amazing beer selection. This crawl is easily accessible via public transportation including the Green Line. There is no charge to participate, with pay-as-you-go bars at each location. Follow Siebel Institute on Facebook and Instagram for locations during the crawl.
